All of our plots are let.

Our new building is nearing completion. See the photos.

As part of the celebrations of our centenary, I arranged with the invaluable assistance of Mrs. Steele, the Head of Horsell C of E School, a competition. The children were asked to write or draw their ideas of how food would be grown and/or eaten in the next 100 years. We chose a winner from each of the four year groups and from those four, an overall winner. Today (5 May) I presented the four with £10 vouchers and declared the overall winner. In the next few weeks, when the builders are ready, we will install a time capsule beneath the new building. Within this will go a number of documents including a copy of the original minutes of the meeting in 1917 establishing the allotment association, photographs of our members, our history and the winning entry of the competition. The winner will get to place their copy into the time capsule in front of the local press. The winners name will go onto a plaque commemorating the event which will be affixed to the new building.
